"If it is not Organic Natural Food spit it out!"

It is really very simple.
If you put the right ingredients into your body,
your body will last longer.

If you need to take a chemistry class
to understand the ingredients in your dogs food,
don't let them eat it!

Homemade food has never been easier.

For the healthiest results, try to use Fat free - no salt, Organic 100% turkey breast, chicken breast or low fat beef 93-97% .

If you don't have time to make your own pet food,
there are some great pre-mixes available.

"People" food, as it is called can be quite good for your dog.
A couple of important rules must apply:

No junk food - only all natural, organic food such as meat, veggies, fruit,  etc.

  • No TOXIC foods - onion, grapes, raisins, go to www.ASPCA.org for a complete list of toxic food.   PLEASE check the list before giving your dog human food.

VARIETY
Consider your pet's diet carefully.  We like variety, too.  By filling our bowls with the same dried kibble every day it is the same as you having a bowl of corn flakes without milk everyday!  Just imagine how awful your life would be with 10 or 15 years of nothing but dry corn flakes to eat!

PROTEIN
Dogs and cats are designed by nature to eat protein from meat sources.  Most dry foods, even top of the line brands, derive far more protein from grain and grain by-products such as corn gluten meal and rice than from meat sources.  If animal meat is in the food, make sure it is listed before any grains.  High grain content can lead to obesity and allergies since most pets don't do well on high carbohydrate food.

BY-PRODUCTS
Even some "premium" foods contain chicken or beef  by-products, which usually consists of leftovers in meat processing plants that are considered unfit for human consumption such as organ scraps, lips and rendered bones and tissues.  It is a cheap, low quality source of protein.

Remember:  If you wish to change your dogs diet, it should be done gradually.  If a dogs diet is radically changed all at once you will risk introducing stomach and digestive difficulties.

Replace only a small portion of your dogs food with their new improved organic food.

Start out slowly for the first 2 or 3 feedings and then add a little more the next 2 or 3 times you feed.  Feeding is and should be subjective to your particular buddy.
